This Privacy Policy serves to inform you specifically of the nature, scope, purposes, duration, and legal basis of the processing of personal data insofar as we determine the purposes and means of such processing either alone or jointly with others. Rights of Users and Data Subjects
With regard to the data processing defined in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

- to obtain the rectification or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data (see Art. 16 GDPR)
- to obtain the erasure of data concerning them without undue delay (see Art. 17 GDPR), or, alternatively, if further processing is necessary in accordance with Art. 17 (3) GDPR, to the restriction of said processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR
- to receive the personal data concerning them and/or provided by them and to have the data transmitted to other providers/controllers (see Art. 20 GDPR)
- to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if they consider that the processing of data concerning them by the controller infringes the applicable data protection laws (see Art. 77 GDPR)
In addition, the controller shall notify all recipients of data disclosed by the controller of any rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing in accordance with Art. 16, 17 (1), and 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves disproportionate effort. Notwithstanding the foregoing, users have the right to obtain information on said recipients.
Similarly, in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, users and data subjects have the right to object to the controller’s future processing of their data pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, including, but not limited to the right object to data processing for the purposes of direct mail.

Hoster
Our website is hosted by STRATO AG with its registered seat in Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “hoster”).

In line with its legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), the hoster collects data of every access to the website in order to be able to provide a secure and reliable hosting service.
The data collected by the hoster correspond to those described in the section “Server Log Files,” with the exception that the hoster first stores IP addresses in a non-anonymized form for seven days before anonymizing them itself. We, the controller, have concluded an order processing agreement with the hoster (Art. 28 GDPR).
Information on the Data Processing
Your data processed when using our website will be erased or blocked as soon as the purpose for storing them ceases to exist, provided that the erasure of such data does not infringe on any statutory storage obligations and that there are no other provisions set out below.
Server Log Files
For technical reasons and specifically for the purpose of providing a stable and secure website, we will collect specific data transmitted to us or our server provider by your internet browser. These server log files record the type and version of your browser, your operating system, the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the webpages you visited on our website, the date and time of your visit, as well as the IP address of the device you used to access our website.
As controller, we collect data of every access to our website in line with our legitimate interests (see Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and store these data as server log files on the website’s server. These include:
- URL visited: the webpage visited, shown in the address bar of your browser, e.g. “https://softbit.info/pages/welcome?language=en-us”
- Time stamp: the exact time of your access to our website
- Size of data sent in bytes
- HTTP header request line: the HTTP method the browser uses to request the webpage or web resource from the webserver (e.g. “GET”, “POST”) as well as the URL without protocol (e.g. “HTTP”, “HTTPS”) and without domain
- HTTP header request field “Referer”: the URL of the webpage from which you accessed our website. However, it depends on your browser and your settings which data your browser will actually transmit to us.

Server log files are stored for a maximum of six weeks before being erased. This storage takes place for security reasons, e.g. in order to be able to solve cases of data misuse. Data that must be stored as evidence are exempt from erasure until the case has conclusively been solved.
As controller, we only receive anonymized IP addresses from the hoster. This means that we cannot clearly identify you through the anonymized IP.
Contact Form
If you contact us via the contact form embedded in this website, the data you provide will be stored and used to process your request and any follow-up requests. We treat your data responsibly and will never share them without your consent. We only store your personal data where they are relevant to us, including, but not limited to:
- Input in field “E-Mail Address”: the e-mail address you indicated
- Input in field “Subject”: the subject you indicated
- Input in field “Message”: your message to us
- If indicated by you, for the purpose of getting in touch: your e-mail address and/oder telephone number
- If indicated by you: your name

In cases where your request is necessary for the performance of a contract concluded with us or in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract, we will process your data pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Otherwise, we will process your data in line with our legitimate interest in processing your requests and follow-up requests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Should you explicitly consent to the processing of your data (e.g. by checking the corresponding box in the contact form), we will process your data pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time.
We will store the data you transmit to us via the contact form until you request their erasure, you revoke your consent to our storing of your data, or our purpose of storing your data ceases to exist. This is the case, for example, when we have completed the processing of your request.
Telephone or E-Mail Requests
If you contact us via phone or e-mail, the data you provide will be stored and used to process your request and any follow-up requests. We treat your data responsibly and will never share them without your consent. We only store your personal data where they are relevant to us, including, but not limited to:

- for the purpose of addressing you: your name

We follow the principle of data minimization, which means that not all the data listed above will always be stored and processed. Only the data relevant in the given context will be stored and processed. For example, in order to conclude a contract with you, we will need your name and mailing address in particular. In case of a mere request for information, your mailing address will likely not be relevant, however.
In cases where your request is necessary for the performance of a contract concluded with us or in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract, we will process your data pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Otherwise, we will process your data in line with our legitimate interest in processing your requests and follow-up requests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Newsletter
If you register for our free newsletter, the data requested from you for this purpose will be transmitted to us, i.e. your e-mail address and, if necessary, your name and mailing address. We will also store the IP address of the device you used to access our website as well as the date and time of your registration. During the registration process, we will obtain your consent to sending you this newsletter and explain the type of content it will contain, with reference made to this Privacy Policy. The data collected thereby will be used exclusively for sending the newsletter and will, in particular, not be shared with third parties.
This is governed by Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
